Our Football Team

Sporting Central Academy, our football team, was formed
in 2000 when
Christopher Dawes (Reggae Boy), and Brandon
Murray (BranCourt Sports) decided to pool their resources
to create a team with the clear aim of reclaiming Clarendon's
place in the National Premier League.

Soon after this alliance was formed, Brandon and Chris were
joined by
Kevin Williams also a former National Representative
and well respected midfield “Maestro”. This group has moulded a
squad of young men (average age 18 in 2000) into the well oiled
machine named
Sporting Central Academy, The  team  boasts
the Parish's two major titles from the 2003 – 2004, 2004-
2005 seasons and are now (2005-2006) just one step away
from promotion to the National Premier League.

Sporting Central Academy is about more than football. It is
about encouraging and mentoring squad members to
maximize their output in their various endeavours (school,
employment or business) while seeking opportunities for
personal advancement. These young men receive not only
direction in sport but also in life that should help them to
develop into more responsible and productive citizens.
